Every Picture Tells a Story
Rod Stewart had himself quite a hit back in the seventies but it’s no way to buy a house. The criteria for your next home should be decided BEFORE you go on the Internet and start looking at the pictures! I know you have heard this before, but I will say it again just to make a point; location matters, so does price and so does content (content means ever physical aspect of a home including condition). These three things are what any home buyer has to deal with, unless of course you really have so much money that price is not a concern. In that case you can shop for any house in any area but most of us don’t fall into that category. We have to make choices based on which two factors are most important to us. Once we pick the two, the third one is ALWAYS determined by the market. That’s just the way it is. If you want a 2,500 square foot house with granite countertops and a walk in master closet and you can spend $125,000 to $150,000, hop in the car ‘cause we’re heading out of town. Before you look at all the pretty pictures on the Internet and get all wrapped up in properties that you can’t afford or aren’t in the right area, do the work and determine what you’re looking for, where you want to live and maybe most importantly how much you are comfortable spending. Then pick two and stay within the parameters. Leave the pretty pictures for rock songs.
